Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals – 1:00 pm ET

This total has been all over the place throughout the week, but I think this will be a high-scoring game. Since Joe Burrow returned to action, the Bengals have an EPA per play of 0.089. That’s the eighth-best mark in the league, and it’d be the ninth-best mark over the course of the entire season. Well, combining a top-10 offense with the league’s worst defense is a great recipe for an Over. Meanwhile, the Ravens are just 21st in the NFL in EPA per play allowed (0.035), so they’re not the elite defensive team we’ve become used to in the John Harbaugh era. Cincinnati really should be able to move the ball here, and I’d be surprised if the team doesn’t put a big number on the scoreboard. Will Baltimore be able to do the same?

The Ravens are down to 21st in the NFL in EPA per play (-0.011) on offense, and it feels like they have completely fallen apart on this side of the ball. However, Lamar Jackson did look a little better in the second half of last week’s loss to the Steelers, and he’s getting further and further removed from the hamstring injury that forced him out of action earlier in the year. That should be big as we look for this game to turn into a shootout. Derrick Henry really should be able to run all over this weak Bengals defensive line, and that’ll make things very difficult on Cincinnati defensive coordinator Al Golden. You can’t overcommit to stopping Henry when Jackson is playing at a high level, and I believe we’ll see the two-time MVP find his groove here.

The Over is also 8-5 in the 13 games that both of these teams have played this season. It’s also 5-1 in the home games the Bengals have played. I also like that the Over is 13-11-2 in the games Baltimore has played with totals of 49.5 or higher under Harbaugh.

The only thing I’m a little worried about is the weather. It’s supposed to be 13 degrees in Cincinnati on Sunday, and it isn’t impossible that there will be some snow. That’ll make it a little harder for this game to go Over, but I’m sticking with it.

Bet: Over 51.5 (-110)

Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints – 4:25 pm ET

This is the no-brainer play of the week for me, meaning it’s a bit sucker and is probably destined to end up being the biggest sweat of Week 15. I know New Orleans just earned a big road win over Tampa Bay, moving to 2-2 straight-up and 3-1 against the spread over the last four games. However, over the course of this recent solid stretch, there hasn’t been anything super impressive about this team. And overall, I’m just not a believer in Tyler Shough, even if he did have some good runs against the Bucs last week.

The reality here is that Carolina’s defense might be miserable, but the team had a bye week to prepare for a below-average offense. That should be a major advantage for the Panthers. I also don’t see any reason Carolina can’t move the ball against New Orleans. The Saints are just 24th in the league in Pass Rush Win Rate (34%). That said, I don’t think Bryce Young will be under too much pressure in this one. Well, Young has proven that he can be a dangerous passer when he has time to set his feet.

This is a game in which I would have been looking to back Carolina no matter what, as I believe the Panthers are way more talented than the Saints. And when you throw in the fact that Carolina is coming off a bye week, I would hope we can rule out the possibility of one of those classic Panthers no-show performances.
